Our inspiration: Sharing Vermont's beauty
Frankie's Attic was born from a deep love for our home in Rochester, Vermont, and a desire to share the beauty of the White River Valley with other creative people. We envisioned a place where guests could connect with nature, find inspiration within our space, and enjoy the hospitality of our village.

Educator, Writer, and Outdoor Enthusiast
Amy, one of Frankie's Attic owners, brings a wealth of creative experience to our retreats and camps. With an MFA in writing, an MA in Elementary Education, and over 30 years of teaching, she is passionate about sharing her knowledge of writing and the local landscape with our guests. Her expertise ensures a rich and rewarding experience for all who are willing to step outside.

Our passions: Nature, local history, and the written word
Frankie's Attic is united by a love for Vermont's natural beauty, a fascination with local history, and a shared passion for the creative process. These interests shape the unique programs and outdoor experiences (including kid's camps) we offer, creating an environment which fosters creativity, exploration, and relaxation.

Unplug, unwind, and create in Vermont
At Frankie's Attic, we want our visitors to truly unplug and unwind from the daily hustle. Our peaceful rural village, located within the stunning Green Mountain National Forest, offers the perfect escape. Here, you can enjoy biking, hiking, downhill and cross country skiing, abundant peace and quiet, and/or gaze at the spectacular, visible stars at night (weather permitting)! It's the ideal setting to get some writing done and reconnect with yourself.
